Therapeutic Supports
Winthrop House is a therapeutic milieu that aims to create an environment where students feel successful, safe, and supported.
Specifics
Students have scheduled therapeutic groups and individual counseling, but due to the nature of the program, social workers are often available throughout the day for additional support as needed.
Although it varies case-by-case, we generally use strengths-based therapeutic approaches and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) skills.
